AIR LIBYA is the first private aviation Company in Libya

The Company was founded in 1996 under the name of "Tibesti Aviation' with 6 aircraft Cessna 188AG-Truck, two Zlin-137 and one Cessna 185F aiming particularly for general aviation. After two years another two Cessna - C402C and C421C joined the fleet. In the year of 2000 one aircraft YAK-40 started passenger operations, the Company was named "Tibesti Air Libya" and next year another four YAK-40 aircraft were included in the Company AOC.
